SNA Symposium 2017

General Information

The SNA Symposium 2017 is a one-day symposium organized by the Singapore Neuroscience Association on Wednesday 5th July 2017.

The symposium will comprise of talks on recent advancements in neuroscience including neuroimmunology, glial biology, neurodevelopment and neurochemistry of aging and CNS disease. The symposium will bring together renowned neuroscientists, young post-docs and graduate students and will provide a fantastic opportunity to network and discuss research ideas and the latest developments in neuroscience.

A poster presentation session will give students an opportunity to present their work and selected participants may be invited to present an oral talk at the symposium.

Call for Abstracts

Instructions:

•Abstract submission deadline is: Thursday 1st June 2017
•Acceptance of abstracts is at the discretion of the editors of SNA Symposium 2017.
•The first author is the presenting author of the oral presentation or poster.
•The first (presenting) author of accepted abstracts will be notified by e-mail from 15th June 2017.
•The time allotted for oral presentations is: 15 minutes (12 min presentation plus 3 min questions and answers). Presentations to be in Microsoft PowerPoint compatible files, to be pre-loaded into the computer upon registration at venue.
•Poster dimensions: A1 size upright poster (23 X 33 inches).
•Please follow the specifications of the sample abstract (replace sample abstract with your own abstract). The abstract must be limited to 300 words.

Conference Information

•The official language of the Conference will be English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Most Singaporeans can speak English fluently.
•Singapore is most certainly one of the safest cities in the world, from National Security to general public safety.
•The weather is tropical all year round, with only slight variations between the average maximum of 31 degrees Celsius and minimum of 23 degrees Celsius. There is mild rainfall throughout the year. Showers are usually sudden and heavy, but also brief and refreshing.
•To enter Singapore, participants from some countries may require an entry Visa. For more information please visit http://www.ica.gov.sg/. An official invitation letter will be sent to participants (upon request) to assist in applying for the Entry Visa.
•The organizers do not accept responsibility for any personal injury, damage or loss of property which may occur in connection with this Conference. All participants are advised to arrange travel insurance before departure from their home countries.
