SNA Symposium 2018

General Information

The Singapore Neuroscience Association is organising the SNA Symposium 2018 on the 26th of September 2018.

The theme for the symposium this year is Lifestyle and Brain Health. Lifestyle has a profound impact on brain health we hope to enlighten the attendees on how various aspects of lifestyle such as diet, fasting, exercise, sleep, and meditation (yoga) influence brain health.

A poster presentation session will give students an opportunity to present their work.

Call for Abstracts


•Abstract submission deadline is: Friday 31st August 2018.
•Acceptance of abstracts is at the discretion of the editors of SNA Symposium 2018.
•The first author is the presenting author of the poster presentation.
•The first (presenting) author of accepted abstracts will be notified by e-mail from 5th September 2018.
•Poster dimensions: A1 size upright poster (23 X 33 inches).
•Please follow the specifications of the sample abstract (replace sample abstract with your own abstract). The abstract must be limited to 300 words.

Conference Information

•The official language of the Conference will be English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Most Singaporeans can speak English fluently.
•Singapore is most certainly one of the safest cities in the world, from National Security to general public safety.
•The weather is tropical all year round, with only slight variations between the average maximum of 31 degrees Celsius and minimum of 23 degrees Celsius. There is mild rainfall throughout the year. Showers are usually sudden and heavy, but also brief and refreshing.
•To enter Singapore, participants from some countries may require an entry Visa. For more information please visit An official invitation letter will be sent to participants (upon request) to assist in applying for the Entry Visa.
•The organizers do not accept responsibility for any personal injury, damage or loss of property which may occur in connection with this Conference. All participants are advised to arrange travel insurance before departure from their home countries.
